The modernization projects carried out by ANEMO illustrate our ability to adapt professional vessels to meet new operational, regulatory, or environmental needs. Whether it's replacing a handling crane, designing and integrating custom propeller cages to protect propulsion systems, or repowering a dive boat to improve its performance and fuel efficiency, each intervention is designed to optimize vessel operation while ensuring its safety, regulatory compliance, and long-term viability.
Marie Galante – Modernization of a maritime work barge
ANEMO supported the modernization of the barge Marie Galante by studying and integrating a new crane specifically designed for maritime work. Our mission encompassed the preliminary stability study to define the crane requirements, the detailed design, the creation of plans, site supervision, and support for regulatory testing with Bureau Veritas and the Maritime Affairs authorities to obtain the navigation permit.
OCTANT – Propeller cage design for a hydrographic survey vessel
ANEMO assisted the Port of Nantes Saint-Nazaire in the design of propeller cages to protect the propulsion system of the hydrographic survey vessel OCTANT. Our work included studying the geometry, conducting vibration analyses to prevent resonance, and creating detailed manufacturing plans. After installation, sea trials verified the system's performance and confirmed the expected results.
SPHINX II - Repowering a dive boat
ANEMO assisted the Locmiquélic Diving Club with the Sphinx II repowering project, aiming to improve the vessel's reliability, performance, and operating conditions. Our involvement included studying the new propulsion configuration, creating the design and manufacturing plans, and providing technical support to the Laita Sailing shipyard for the integration of the new engine.
ANEMO acted as the liaison between the owner, the shipyard, and the various technical stakeholders to ensure the project's compliance and the proper integration of onboard equipment. This project demonstrates our ability to support the modernization of existing commercial vessels, from naval architecture studies to construction and commissioning.
