A stability test on a marine works barge

⚓ Crane replacement on a maritime works barge: a project carried out from start to finish by Cabinet ANEMO !

We recently completed the successful replacement of a crane on a marine works barge, a project combining studies, site supervision, regulatory compliance, and testing. MARIE GALANTE is a steel barge belonging to the company ISMER ( TETIS ) that carries out maritime works on the west coast.

We have carried out all the studies necessary for the integration of the new crane:

✅ Integration studies: analysis of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical interfaces, 3D modeling and definition of installation areas📐;

✅Structural studies: finite element modeling, verification of transmitted forces and design of local reinforcements 🔩;

✅Stability studies: Calculation of the center of gravity, ballast plan and validation of regulatory criteria (D222) 📈 .

We then provided site monitoring until the installation and testing of the new crane, ensuring compliance.

To conclude the project, a stability test was conducted under the watchful eye of the new FDI frigates of Naval Group Lorient, in the presence of the Ship Safety Center (CSN) and Bureau Veritas. This test was made possible thanks to the lifting equipment of SOTRAMA 🏗️.

This confirmed the movement and the position of the ship's center of gravity.

In addition, a load test was carried out to verify the proper activation of the crane's hydraulic safety valves.
